let's get personal :)
i’m Chloe, founder of pilattés - and like most great rituals, this one started with a mat and a latté …. for 4 years, my mornings looked exactly the same: wake up, head to pilates, then run home to make my beloved morning latte before work.
it wasn’t just a routine — it was my sanctuary, my reset button, my little daily ritual which i called pilattés. and it all started because one day, I realized I didn’t feel like myself anymore.
I used to be more active, flexible, and in tune with my body. but somewhere along the way; like many of us, I had let it all slip. what really hit me was how stiff I felt one day while i was stretching with my mom and my aunt and i realized that i had absolutely no flexibility; i wasn’t even in my late twenties yet. and that scared me. so I did what any self-aware, slightly obsessive person would do: i researched & I decided to try pilates.
i booked my first class on the reformer with a master instructor (who ended up being my mentor on my instructor journey) and I was hooked. it was slow, controlled, yet powerful. you’re lying on a bed, and somehow you leave the class standing taller and feeling lighter. honestly what could be better?
pilattés was born, not just as a brand, but as a way to share this journey with others who like me are often overwhelmed by change and under-informed about how to care for their bodies. no one tells you how disconnected you can become but more importantly how powerful it feels to come back home to yourself. you're the master of your body and your mind, you need to remember to care for it just like it cares for you.
after 2 years of consistency, i realized that my pilattés ritual was the only part of my day i looked forward to. i was stuck in a job i hated, and honestly couldn't care less about, and just like (i think) everyone in their late twenties, i was looking for more. so finally after a very deep "life conversation" with my partner, he asked me “why don’t you become an instructor?”. so simple right?! so I did. i left the job. i followed my gut. and a year in, i can confidently say: best decision I’ve ever made
and now, pilattés isn't just mine anymore... pilattés is your invitation to give your body the love it deserves, to move freely, to reconnect with your body, and turn down the noise of the outside world; even if just for 50 minutes.
let’s brew something beautiful together.
